Back to revisions

One interesting thing with my revision process is that while I’m cutting a lot, I’m actually adding more. At this point my edit log is quite large. I had a 48,000 word story (cut down from a couple of words over 50,000) it’s almost to 56,000 – I’m less than a third of the way through the edits. It will be interesting to see how long it ends up. I think I may crack 70k before I’m done, but not guarantees.

As soon as that’s done it’s going up on Amazon and into CreateSpace. We’ll see if I can make a few bucks on it. Meanwhile I have a second short story about to hit Amazon. I’m doing a read through, and I have a couple of people who promised to get me reviews today, but if all is good I will push it out tomorrow at some point. Just 99 cents US (slightly more in Canada), a great deal. It’s the story I wrote yesterday in a manic frenzy. 10 pages at letter size.

I haven’t really started marketing at all, other than by having this blog. That will come later, probably over the summer, when I have a lot of extra time (I’m a teacher).
