One of the most important bits for a book is the cover. I changed mine after launching it. The changes are small, but I feel like they improve the book overall. Originally I had a sans-serif font on the back cover, and the text was quite large. It was okay, but looked a little bit cheesy. I fixed that up, and added a bit more text. I also set it to justify full, with a left aligned last line (originally it was justify full, including the last line, which made for weird spacing). The extra text is just a quick note on who I am.
Finally, when I did the post work on my cover model I didn’t really do her justice. The process of turning her into a silhouette made her look like she had less curves than she really does, and shortened her legs a little bit. I fixed it so the picture looks more like the person.
So, will that make a difference to sales? I have no idea. I just know that I like it better – a lot better.
