Journalism take you strange places

Back in the late nineties/early 2000’s I used to listen to a local DJ called Nick Nonsense. He did house/electronic music. Great stuff, awesome to dance to. I enjoyed it a lot. Sometime after that, he formed a record label with a few partners, I was largely out of the party scene by then, didn’t really hear much of their stuff. Yesterday I ended up interviewing one of the partners, and now I’m going to go watch him perform at a restaurant that I did a recent restaurant review of.

The weirdest thing about all of this is that it’s all so interconnected. You start to delve into a scene and you discover that so many things intersect in such strange ways.

Tomorrow’s post will also be about this phenomenon, but about my number one pet peeve in genre fiction and how it intersects with this topic.
