Another Milestone

Rocks in Costa Rica

The first draft of Resource Economies is officially longer than the current edition of A Long Walk. I passed the word count today and I’m very, very happy about it.

The story has hit a major milestone, and what comes next is going to be brutal, tense, and long. The kind of writing I find comes most easily.

I don’t know, I’ve discovered that I can write torture, fights, brutality, and I can do so easily. At this point, most of what’s left in Resource Economies is torture, fights, and brutality. The story has started to reach the climax. From now on it’s all tight action scenes. I’m pretty excited about it.

On the flip side, I will be camping for a few days, so I will have to make sure I make up for the writing.
